Google Introduced funny Google 8-Bit Map on April Fool Day for NES(Nintendo Entertainment System) The most fooled day of the year has come April 1, and google has also comeup with something new for the fool’s day. Google has launched specially Google Map 8 bit version along with the original one When you will see the video, you will remember your old school days when you blow the video casseste to remove the bugs from it. The full version is yet to come and will be available in the Google Map Store. But till then you can use the trial version. You can route the path from one to another place. It also has the facility of voice recognition and automatically find the spoken place.”As the first NES cartridge to be released in nearly 18 years, we’re working hard to make Google Maps 8-bit for NES available in the Google Store as soon as possible. A mobile version for Game Boy is also under development,” Google software engineer Tatsuo Nomura added. The trial version has been uploaded on the Google Map too. It is unlike some funny jokes, as you have to make some effort to find out this feature on the Google Map. Whenever you will open the Google Map, it will open as it used to be, same as always. But if you click on the word “Quest” which is being displayed at the right side of the google map, it wil transformed into the special 8-bit graphical style which will remind you of the old video games which you have played in your childhood. Light yellow with dotted lines will show the roads and many more symbols are used which have their common meaning. But do see the mountain and glacier symbols, at first site you will not be able to recognize. Using this you can also find the directions too. I am not joking. The Pic added above is the Directions from “Chandigarh” to ”New Delhi”. Some of you may find this pop up message displayed “Your system may not meet the requirements for 8-bit computations”. I am sure you will get a smile, after opening this first time. But do try this before the day passes away. Google will shut down this feature as the 1st ring for the 2nd april. I think this is a great feature as it is not a joke for bringing back the old 8-bit feature in this Tech World.
